Co-founded by longtime friends Jeff Solorio and John Juniper, they were filmmakers and photographers before jumping into the eyewear world. Once DITA was established, the co-founders were committed to only bringing the highest quality of material and craftsmanship to the brand. Throughout the years they not only created beautiful, high quality frames, but built DITA on the relationships of master artisans to help bring their dreams into reality.

DITA craftsmanship is unparalleled, each frame is individually handcrafted in the district of Japan by the most gifted artisans. Using both traditional and modern techniques, each frame moves through the hands of production, taking up to 8 months for each frame.  Using only the finest acetates and titanium, DITA frames are built like a tank but look like old Hollywood. Their signature frames have a sophisticated academic appeal, and their new frames are contemporary but also feel like the 50’s imagining the future.
